PRP: Platelet-Rich Plasma
PRP is based on the principle of separating the platelet-rich portion from whole blood.
Platelets are blood cells involved in coagulation, wound healing, and tissue regeneration.
In cases of injuries causing bleeding, platelets are activated, releasing proteins and growth factors stored in their granules, such as VEGF, IGF, FGF, PDGF, EGF, and TGF-β.
Growth factors play a role in activating, proliferating, and differentiating stem cells, thereby supporting wound healing and tissue regeneration.
